Fatemah Abdul Aziz Al Ali
Psychotherapist

I am a licensed counsellor, psychological researcher and mental health advocate with over 15 years of experience across academic, clinical and public service settings. Throughout my career I have worked within the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), supported students and staff at Kuwait University, provided psychological sessions at Al Razi Centre, and delivered training and media outreach in both the Gulf and the United Kingdom. My experience across Kuwait, Qatar and the UK gives me a strong cross-cultural understanding, which enables me to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and create a compassionate, culturally sensitive therapeutic space.
I have extensive experience in working with anxiety and stress, panic attacks and phobias, depression and mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive traits, trauma, complex trauma and dissociation, PTSD (particularly war-related and generational trauma), burnout, attachment issues and childhood emotional wounds, couples and marital difficulties, family conflict, co-dependency and boundary setting, grief and bereavement, divorce and separation, self-esteem and identity, life transitions such as motherhood, career change and relocation, substance misuse, Behavioral addictions, disordered eating, emotional eating and body image concerns, perinatal mental health and cultural adjustment.
I employ an integrative approach in my work, tailoring every treatment to each client’s individual needs. This draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), in which I trained at the Beck Institute, alongside trauma-informed therapy, integrative psychotherapy and psychoeducation. As a certified Mind Mapping trainer with the Buzan Organization, I also bring tools for cognitive enhancement, creativity and memory into my practice. Having begun my career as a kindergarten teacher with a focus on emotional development, I hold a grounded understanding of how early experiences shape emotional wellbeing throughout life. My research interest in generational trauma led me to present at the 31st Annual BACP International Research Conference in Manchester in 2025, and I have shared psychological guidance with the public through Kuwait National Radio and Television.
With a deep commitment to evidence-based practice and a passion for empowering individuals, particularly women, in their emotional growth and self-worth, I am dedicated to supporting my clients on their journey towards healing, resilience and lasting well-being.
