May AlBader
Clinical Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist with a BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder and an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Royal Holloway University of London. I work with both youth and adults in a nonjudgmental, inclusive environment, with experience treating anxiety, depression, panic attacks, self-harm, adjustment difficulties, psychogenic chronic pain, grief work, inner child work, relationship challenges, and communication skills.
My therapeutic approach utilizes strength-focused methods that blend psychotherapy with practical skills training and creative experiential approaches. I integrate various evidence-based modalities including Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Pain Reprocessing Therapy, art therapy, play therapy, and emotional awareness and expression techniques. I create highly collaborative and personalized treatment plans that help clients identify and harness their natural abilities as catalysts for positive change. My focus centers on developing essential life skills including emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance while addressing underlying psychological concerns through evidence-based interventions.
I am passionate about building resilience and empowering individuals to navigate psychological challenges effectively through targeted exploration of mental health concerns and practical methods for overcoming life stressors.
